Pride & Prejudice, Jane Austen's classic novel of manners and marriage, comes to life in Magenta Theater's new adaptation, directed by Dorinda Toner. Elizabeth Bennet is a witty young woman content to enjoy country life with her family and their attentive neighbors in Hertfordshire, England. Things change, though, with the arrival of Mr. Bingley and his aloof friend, Mr.Darcy. A series of misunderstandings and subtle flirtations characterize this beloved story. Pride is wounded and prejudices are dissolved, as Elizabeth (and the audience) learns that first impressions aren't always right, marriage isn't always about love and sometimes family is more important than it seems.

Jake's Women
By Neil Simon
Director - Rebecca Kramer
Jake is a writer. He also has quite a complicated cast of ladies in his life. Some real, some remembered, some out of his mind. Sometimes its hard to keep straight what is in his head and who is in his house. Jake struggles and works through a dead wife, a daughter and his current fling. Not to mention the sister and a shrink. Neil Simon at his character driven best.
