Instead of performing Charles Dickens' beloved holiday classic for the umpteenth time, three actors decide to PERFORM every Christmas story ever told - plus Christmas traditions from around the world, seasonal icons from ancient times to topical pop-culture, and every carol ever sung. A madcap romp through the holiday season.

Event Title: Clark College Women’s Choral Ensemble Presents "Season of Hope, Season of Joy"

The Clark College Women's Choral Ensemble under the direction of April Duvic and Chorale, co-directed by Janet Reiter and April Duvic, will present their Fall Concert "Season of Hope, Season of Joy," Thursday, December 3, 2009, 7:30 p.m. at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 426 E. Fourth Plain Boulevard, Vancouver. The program will feature the Chorale singing Vaughan Williams' motet O, Clap Your Hands, accompanied by St. Luke's organist and music director Tim Drewes. The Chorale will sing several seasonal works, including the Halleluah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. The Women's Choral Ensemble will sing two movements from Benjamin Britten's A Ceremony of Carols, two works by John Rutter, and will join the Chorale in closing the concert with Hope for Resolution by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory. Donations to St. Luke's Community Support Fund will be accepted at the door. Additional performances for the groups include appearances at The Grotto on December 5 during its "Festival of Lights", Jim Fisher's "Friends of the Carpenter" concert on December 6 at Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, and Kirkland Union Plaza on December 9.
