DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: When a postulant proves too highspirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry.=0D=0A=
 =0D=0A=
Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain's immediate service in their navy. The family's narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre. The motion picture version remains the most popular movie musical of all time.=0D=0A=

DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream is perhaps the most loved of all his plays and has delighted audiences for centuries. It has been adapted to different eras from the early Greeks to modern day and, yes, even the 1960’s which we have chosen for its back drop.=0D=0A=
 =0D=0A=
It is the whirlwind story of two young couples trying to find their way in the confusing landscape of love. It is also the story of what happens when we try to artificially control the heart. Lysander loves Hermia whose father wants her to marry Demetrius who used to love, and is still loved, by Helena who is the clerk of Judge Theseus. He is engaged to be married to Hippolyta which Titannia and Oberon (Queen and King of the fairies) have come to bless even though they are not getting along and……..whew! =0D=0A=
 =0D=0A=
Oh , this is one of the only plays where William gives us two plays for the price of one as we follow a troupe of wannabe actors as they prepare a show for Theseus’ wedding day. Add to all that magic potions, a donkey’s head and a prankster named Puck and mix with a little rock and roll and you pretty much have our show. =0D=0A=

LOCATION:Magenta Theater - 606 Main St. Vancouver, WA 98660
