A Cappella Broadway! presents a full evening of the best-known and best-loved hit songs from Broadway shows. Premiering in April 2007, the EDLOS is believed to be the first performing ensemble to present a full Broadway revue without musical instruments - just the magic of their voices. The Slocum House Theatre Company Presents
It's Been Wonderful
By John Patrick
Directed by Gary Romans
The Slocum House Theatre Company continues its 2008 Season with It's Been Wonderful, by John Patrick. The comedy, which runs from September 5 - 28, will be directed by Gary Romans.

Married to a successful stockbroker and comfortably ensconced in a lavish Long Island mansion, Paula Reid is nevertheless bored - until the success of her novel suddenly catapults her to celebrity status. Her book also attracts Hollywood's interest and leads to a weekend party at her estate. The action centers on the producer's desire to do the film version of the novel (while changing it totally) and the film star's determination to play the lead part (although it calls for an actress of half her years). This is an adult comedy with adult language and adult themes.
American screenwriter and playwright John Patrick, born John Patrick Goggan, wrote the Pulitzer Prize-winning The Teahouse of the August Moon (which he later adapted into a film). He also wrote many screenplays, such as hits Three Coins in the Fountain, Love Is a Many Splendored Thing, and High Society, from the mid-'30s throughout the late '60s.

Tickets for The Slocum House Theatre's production of It's Been Wonderful, ranging from $8 to $10, can be reserved or purchased via credit card by calling 360/696-2427 or by emailing reservations@slocumhouse.com
