DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE: The Clark College Concert Choir under the direction of April Duvic and Concert Band under the direction of Richard Inouye, will present their Fall Concert “Something Old, Something New,” Friday, December 4, 2009, 7:30 p.m. in the Royal Durst Theatre, Vancouver School of Arts and Academics, 3101 Main Street, Vancouver. Highlights of the evening will feature the Concert Choir singing two Baroque Period works, Dona Nobis Pacem by Caccini and Magnificat from J.S. Bach’s Magnificat in D. Additional works include There is no Rose from Benjamin Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols and a contemporary rendering of O Magnum Mysterium by Morten Lauridsen. The Choir will conclude its portion of the concert with a new millennium arrangement of the holiday classic Jingle Bells. The Concert Band will perform two classic selections for wind band, the Ralph Vaughan Williams Folk Song Suite, Percy Grainger’s Irish Tune from County Derry, and a vital, new contemporary composition entitled, Loudon Praises, by composer Brian Balmages.
